NMC in association with Sahyadri Foundation has jointly set up a night shelter (Ratra Niwara) to accommodate homeless people. It was the initiative of Nagpur Municipal Corporation order by Supreme Court.
This project is implemented by Sahyadri Foundation since 2015 at MIHAN with intake capacity 30 seats with the technical support from Mumbai Mobile Creche and financial support from MIHAN Biggest construction site – Mahindra Lifespaces.

This project is initiated jointly by Sahyadri Foundation & Mahindra Lifespaces Nagpur since April 2016. All medical aids is providing at clinic for peoples at MIHAN site for PAP (Project Affected Peoples) at MIHAN site.
Though nearly a decade has passed since the introduction of a ban on the sale of tobacco products near educational institutions, the situation has largely remained the same with much of the sales, continuing to target schools and college students. Tobacco products cannot be sold within a 100 – yard radius of schools and colleges.
Police frequently demand sex in exchange of non – arrest, as well as arrest and beat FSWs and extort bail money. Violence, harassment and the fear of arrest can undermine HIV prevention program in many ways. Experiencing violence and harassment can negatively impact on the mental health and self-esteem of women.
Sahyadri Foundation has held advocacy meetings with IMA doctors in the city to restore their commitment of referring persons with TB and HIV to the organization, who can then link the patient to DOTs or ICTC for further counselling, testing, treatment adherence follow up.
Sensitization meetings have been held with teachers from NMC schools to help them identify children with slow learning, understanding them, their psychology and provide them the right atmosphere to cope up with their education.
Sensitization meetings have been held with Gram Panchayat and Zilla Parishad members and they have been told to identify villagers with TB and HIV and refer them to the organization for further treatment at DOTs and ICTC.
